J Auto Trading Strategies, LLC was founded by Julie L. Wade, a volatility systems developer with a background in high-level legal and financial environments. Julie created JATS PT, a proprietary statistical volatility model built specifically for the NinjaTrader platform to deliver real-time, actionable insights grounded in actual market behavior—rather than relying on traditional assumptions.

JATS PT does not measure the volatility of price—it measures the volatility of range. More specifically, it calculates the distance from the mean to a 3-level boundary off the open or close using a proprietary methodology. This allows the model to detect range expansion or contraction before it’s visible in the options market, capturing volatility dynamics as they unfold.

Unlike legacy indicators that rely on price-based standard deviation, implied volatility, or Greeks, JATS PT operates independently of volume, open interest, or participation-based data. Its sigma levels reflect actual volatility conditions, making it ideal for identifying dealer support and resistance—even in the absence of visible options flow.

To complement the JATS PT framework, QuikStrike Options Pricing and Analysis Tools are used to highlight where gamma and delta hedging may create inflection points. These are correlated with JATS PT levels to validate the strength and alignment of potential setups. Often, there are no visible markers like delta, gamma, or volume at these levels—only the presence of JATS PT levels and the market’s reaction. This is because Prime Dealer order flow is frequently hidden behind iceberg orders.
